Talk about accessibility at the kitchen table with Martin Dulig and Federal Minister Katharina Barley

On January 24, 2019, Peggy, Yazan and Militza once again participated in the so-called Kitchen Table Dialogue with Saxony’s Minister of State Martin Dulig and his guest Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection Katharina Barley.

More than 200 interested people accepted Martin Dulig’s invitation to his traveling kitchen table to talk to him and his guest of the evening, Federal Minister Katharina Barley. Discussed were among other things consumer rights, about laws, particularly much however about Europe. Peggy also dared to return to the kitchen table with her question: “How would you like to better enforce the human right to participation in the interests of disabled fellow citizens? And what role does accessibility play for you in this with us in IT?”. Both Martin Dulig and Katharina Barlay answered the questions. In this context, Peggy took the opportunity to briefly address the Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection on our digital two solution better compatibility of family-and-work – especially because we will implement this barrier-free according to BITV thanks to EFS funds. Our goal is to expand our free service for Dresden beyond Saxony to other regions in the future, so that even more people with disabilities can participate.
