Once a year, the state of Saxony and its IT invite to a conference for administrative employees and IT business. Over two days, important current topics were discussed in presentations. From AI, data protection, cybercrime, agility, citizen participation and eGovernment, there were many exciting topics. Very inviting and touching was the opening speech of the CIO of the Free State. However, the presentations from Estonia – on the one hand by the Ambassador of Estonia as well as that of a professor from Tallinn – around their paths to digital civil society or administration were pure inspiration with a bit of revolutionary charm.
The conference took place at the Dresden Airport exhibition grounds, which was a surprisingly positive ambience for ITOF. The conference was accompanied by a large exhibition area with Saxon IT service providers. We were also there as exhibitors and listeners and discussion partners. On our booth we showed as a living example our free software for a better compatibility of family and job as well as the free software for migrants and foreign guests. We can really pat ourselves on the back here. As a small IT company, we attracted a lot of positive attention.
