From the bottom of our hearts, a huge thank you for 13 fantastic years with you—dear HeiReS team, dear clients and partners, dear friends and companions.
As a person, HeiReS at age 13 would effectively have reached adolescence. But even as a company, we feel a bit like 13. While we are now grown up, we are still full of dreams and visions for a better digital world. Perhaps that is also why we fight with such passion for a human-friendly IT world through accessibility.
Over 13 years, we have essentially expanded into 13 areas: WPF, mobile apps Xamarin, websites, WordPress, UI design, usability, UX concept, PDFs, print, modern apps with MAUI, accessibility, training, and consulting.
As our own products, we have built several successful apps and created three major public-welfare platforms. We even built our own headless CMS. There is nothing quite comparable to our ConDiSys on the market.
On a personal level, founders Peggy and Lars got married in 2013 and, a few years later, created a new corporate home for HeiReS by purchasing a house. As a family business, Armin has been on board as a co-partner for the past 13 months, following 13 years of working for HeiReS and previously collaborating with XamlFab as a project manager.
Throughout these 13 years, our company has also grown slowly and steadily in terms of headcount. Financially, we have developed just as stably and managed our finances soundly, always remaining profitable, in the black, and solvent. Our employees also share in this success, because ultimately, our achievements are thanks to them.
On top of that, we are socially engaged—whether advocating for cosmopolitanism, equal opportunity, or accessibility. That is likely also why we spun off our non-profit sister company, IT hilft gGmbH, back in 2017.
And along the way, we have published 4 books in recent years—each with a strong focus on accessibility, UX, and IT. Most recently, as a commitment to accessibility, we launched our A11Y4U trade magazines for successful inclusion, spanning 3 thematic editions right away.
The success story of HeiReS has no end. We will continue to maintain our focus on our pillars of design, development, and training, remain a strong player for accessibility, advance our ConDiSys, publish works, and we are planning to roll out smaller HeiReS products in the near future to support accessibility.
To celebrate this a bit, chat about the past and the future, we are meeting for a virtual coffee break on Friday, June 13th at 1:13 PM. You are warmly invited to join this Zoom room:
