In interface design, redesign refers to the revision and redesign of interfaces, i.e. especially the user interface of computer programs. This revision takes place both in the operating structure and in the interface design of the program.

Why a redesign for a computer program?

How does a redesign work?

Phase 1: Improve usability

  • Analysis of the existing program and the task

  • Implementation of dialogue principles according to usability standard ISO 9241 – 110
  • Involve users through tests
  • Support of program use through design

Phase 2: Design User Interface

  • Define objective of redesign
  • Create different basic designs
  • Design control set as a kit for UI
  • Develop sample pages, templates and layout grids
  • Write technical style guide
  • Implementation of elements and screens as markup language (XAML and HTML)
